Creator and host of Drunk Me Podcast, Alyson Horrocks, is an avid creator of cocktail recipes, and found herself fascinated by the history of alcohol and the stories surrounding its sometimes hilarious uses in the past; including being used as a form of payment for those building village churches in old-time New England.

Born and raised in California, Alyson has also lived in England, Idaho, Utah, Connecticut, and now in the greater Boston area, and all along the way she finds local attitudes toward alcohol telling of the history and people of places she has lived and visited.

In the age of the internet, drunk shopping has become infinitely easier, and the stories of what we buy in our uninhibited moments are, all-at-once, funny, interesting, and revealing. In Drunk Me, Alyson talks to others about their drunk shopping purchases in a conversational and story-telling format, while insight and laughter ensues in the analyzing of our drunk decision making skills.

Alyson also is the creator and host of The Strange and Unusual Podcast, and when not busy podcasting, Alyson works as a freelance writer, specializing in New England, history, and historical architecture. She is also the creator and editor of New England Living

Alyson lives in an 1801 federal-style home, where she conjures up cocktail spells, and is currently working on restoring her 19th century barn.
